Achievement 1:
Youth parliament Online Competition
Government of India, Ministry of Youth affairs and sports has conducted National youth parliament program in the year February, 2023. For that purpose, selections were conducted on 27th January, 2023 at the college level, district level and state level to send the students to the National Youth parliament to be held in the presence of the Prime minister. At college level seven students got selected, Niharika (BZC III year), Chitti (BZC III year), Navya (BCom II year), B. Soujanya (BZC II year), Paripurnavathi (MPCs III year), Harika (MPCs II year), L. Divya Rani (BZC III year). Out of these students two students got selected for the district level B. Soujanya and L. Divya rani. Later in the state level we missed the chance. We are very proud that our students have reached district level.
Achievement 2:
Youth parliament at GDC medak
NYK conducted district level youth parliament program in medak district hosted at Government Degree College for Women, Medak on 4th March, 2023. This program was sponsored by the Ministry of youth affairs and sports, government of India, Nehru yuva kendra. Our students participated in the youth parliament and secured prizes. B.Sowjanya BZC II year secured First prize and Aruna BZC III year secured second prize. Total 27 students participated in this youth parliament programme.
This programme helps students how to deliver any thought to the people. This makes students become confident and develop their personality. Our college also has many club activities which makes our students very strong when they face the outer environment.
Achievement 3:
On the occasion of World Environment Day, 5th June 2023. Our college with the contribution of Nehru Yuva Kendra has conducted various competitions. Winners in the Competitions were given certificates with the funds provided by NYK. Competitions like Poster making, Essay writing competition and Quiz were conducted. Winner were

Essay Writing: M. Rajini (BZC I year) and D.Nandini (MPCs I year)
Quiz: L. Divya Rani (BZC III year) and B. Soujanya (BZC II year)
Achievement 4:
NSS ADVENTURE TRAINING CAMP
Our Volunteer ESLAVATH GANGA, has participated in the NSS ADVENTURE TRAINING CAMP held at ATAL BIHARI VAJPAYEE INSTITUTE OF MOUNTAINEERING AND ALLIED SPORTS, at Himachal Pradesh from 23rd December, 2023 to 1st January, 2024. She has been a very active participant throughout the camp and achieved the best volunteer badge. She was the first person among her campmates to climb TRIUND at Dharamshala.
Achievement 5:
District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament Programme was conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra Medak in Viceroy Garden at Medak district on 24th February, 2024. Our volunteers participated in the parliament and won Second prize. The topic of the event was Women empowerment related issues in the society and also Beti Bachao and Beti Padao. Our student volunteers got exposed to society and really showed their talent in this regard.
Achievement 6:
On the invitation received from the DSP Dr. D. Rajesh sir, We allowed our students to volunteer at Edupayalu Maha Sivarathri Jathara 2024, From March 8 to March 10. A total of 100 volunteers have participated in this camp by doing service in the temple like Ladoo counter, Pulihora counter, Sending people in line, Maintaining silence in the temple, Giving water to the people in the temple. Etc. Our students have got a good experience on how to handle people in the crowd. Complete food and transportation was funded by the Police department.
Acheivement 7:
Swach Gurukulam drive is initiative taken by Gurukulam to improve the quality of life and education in Gurukulam schools/ colleges. Through cleanliness and personal hygiene there is a direct link between poor sanitatioan and diseases like malaria, dengue, diarrhoea, cholera and typhoid. Swach Gurukulam drive is a much needed initiative by Gurukulam in order to make everyone realize it is a moral responsibility of everyone to clean their surroundings. Swach Gurukulam drive is organised in all institutions from 5th September to 11th September, 2022.. This programme was taken up by our college staff and students. For this event our wall posters indicating all the seven days schedule was opened by the Additional Collector of Medak district – Prathima Singh on September 03.09.2022.
This programme is taken initiative by our college also involving all the teaching, non teaching, sanitation, cooking staff, and along with the students. We received district level second prize and won a cash prize of rupees 15000/-. This is a very proud moment for our college.
Acheivement 8:
Summer Special Camp:
Conducted activities in an adopted village Haveli Ghanpur from 20.04.2024 to 26.04.2024 had a significant impact on both the community and the participating volunteers - 50 members.
Swachhta (Cleanliness) Programme: This was crucial for promoting hygiene and cleanliness in the village. Activities included cleaning drives, waste management workshops, and awareness sessions on the importance of sanitation.
Health Camp: Providing healthcare services has addressed the immediate health needs of the villagers. We have organized medical check-ups, provide basic medication, and offer health education sessions on topics like hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. This was succesful by the help of District Medical Health Officer.
Literacy Rally: Promoting literacy is essential for empowering individuals and communities. A literacy rally was conducted to raise awareness about the importance of education and encourage villagers, especially children, to enroll in school or adult literacy programs.
Voter Awareness Rally: Civic engagement is crucial for a functioning democracy. A voter awareness rally was conducted to educate villagers about the electoral process, their rights and responsibilities as voters, and the importance of voting in shaping their community's future.
Voter Awareness Survey: Conducting a survey has helped assess the level of voter awareness and participation in the village. This data have informed future initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic processes and increasing civic engagement.
It provided an opportunity for student volunteers to not only learn but also actively contribute to the betterment of society. It's was a commendable initiative!
