DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE

 The Government of Telangana giving utmost importance to the education and has resolved to provide  KG to PG free education policy to provide free education and in the year 2017 was the beginning of (22) TTWRDCs in the state of Telangana Vide G.O Ms. No. 40, Dt: 06.07.2017.

Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential degree College for girls, Kothagudem has been one among  22 Tribal Welfare Residential Degree colleges which have been established in the State of Telangana under the aegis of TTWREIS, Tribal Welfare, Gurukulam as part of the KG to PG free Education policy of the Government of Telangana during the academic year 2017.These Degree colleges have been the brainchild of  secretary TTWREIS tribal welfare were launched to cater the higher educational needs of the students of under privileged and unprivileged sections of the society and to enhance their confidence levels acquiring the highest level of academic excellence coupled with excellent communication skills and the other interpersonal skills to transform themselves into the best citizens of the Nation.

The importance of Political science need not be emphasized as no Arts Programme will be completed without Political Science. It is a living subject and almost all democratic countries in the world have to impart Political Science, invariably, to all the citizens to make them aware of the art and the nuances of governance.  As the distinction between the governed and governors disappeared, every citizen must know the intricacies of governance and the obedience of governed. This is the sine quo non of every democratic country and India is no exception. Almost all the universities and colleges through the length and breadth of India have introduced this subject in their U.G. and P.G. levels. As long as democratic values persist in India the importance of Political Science remains paramount in the academic institutions.

The department has the distinction of producing eminent Scholars, Administrators, Academicians, Bureaucrats, Teachers and Politicians, who have served and have been serving the society at various levels both in India and abroad.

The Department strives to prepare students for a wide array of career choice in academics, civil services, media, entrepreneurship and non-governmental sectors.
