INTRODUCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MICROBIOLOGY

The principal aim of Science is to discover the character of the facts which constitute the realities of nature and to approximate as extent as   possible the explanation of the facts. To import the knowledge of the Microbiology facts, concepts, methods, theories and generalizations. To train students in a wide range of Science-based skills that provide the learning base for future careers in disciplines such as Research organizations, Pharmaceutical industries, and  industries. To have a greater appreciation of processes. To make them more confident and creative to face the challenges of their careers. To help the students pursue other discipline, to fulfill the needs of the society of present and future. The subject Microbiology kept many students at the top of their lives and as successful persons. The Department of Microbiology of TTWRDC Girls, Kothagudem was established in 2018 with B.SC Mathematics, Physics & Computer Science and Botany, Zoology, Chemistry and Microbiology. This department always strives hard for academic excellence. As a part of its academic plan, it invites eminent faculty from different places to give extensive knowledge in selected topics. The faculty members are known for their expertise in HR, finance and organization behavior and impart practical knowledge on the specialized subjects. Talks, paper & computer presentation, field trips are organized regularly to enhance the skills of the students.

Aims and Objectives of the Chemistry Department:

In order to fulfill its stated vision, mission and motto the college is committed to:
Academic excellence: Principal objective of the Microbiology Department is to enable each and every microbiology  student to face the all kind of challenges with national and global level through effective teaching and learning process of the curricular and co-curricular aspects.

Professional Excellence: Our College motivates molds and prepares the students for positions of leadership in business at the local, national and international levels. The capacity building of our graduates to assume productive roles are emphasized during their stay in the college and to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning. The ultimate objective is to produce microbiology graduates who possess the communication skills, problem solving tools and professionalism essential for being successful.

Holistic Development: Provides platform to the students of searching their hidden talent and utilize it to face the global challenges.

Research View: Develop Entrepreneurship and Research View through Innovative and healthy practices.

Adoption and Promotion of Knowledge: To achieve innovations in teaching, learning, research and additional activities to realize national goals, including the adoption and promotion of knowledge output for human being development.

  6. Entrepreneurship Club trains the students in starting up new businesses & to come with innovative ideas by showing different examples of women entrepreneurs.

Weaknesses:

  • Entry level knowledge of students in microbiology  is very low.
  • Irregularity in attendance.
  • Poor illiterate family background.

 

Opportunities:

  1. Students are encouraged towards higher education and research, teaching, government jobs and pharmaceutical industries.
  2. All the students are informed the job notifications through departmental notice board and through CGC team regularly according to their eligibility.
  3. Being the students are getting training in Entrepreneurship they are having opportunities to come with the innovative ideas where TRIBAL WELFARE SOCIETY is ready to provide funds for the best ideas.
