SEMESTER -I  MICROBIALDIVERSITY AND LOWER PLANTS

CO1:  Describe Bacteria structure, Nutrition and Re production, and compare Archebacteria, Actinomycetes and Mycoplasma

CO2:  Describe structure of Viruses, Replication and Transmission

CO3:  Classify Algae, Fungi and Lichens based on their structure, Reproduction and Lifecycles and their Economic importance

 CO4:  Analyze and ascertain the important plant disease symptoms due to Viruses, Bacteria and Fungi

CO5:  Classify Bryophytes based on morphology, anatomy and Lifecycles and know their evolutionary significance

 CO6:  Classify Pteridophytes based on Morphology, Anatomy and Lifecycles and gain knowledge on their stellar evolution, Heterspory and Seed habit

SEMESTER: II: Gymnosperms, Taxonomy of Angiosperms and Ecology

CO1: Classify Gymnosperms based on their structure, reproduction and write down the life history of Pinus and Gnetum.

 CO2: Explain the Geological time scale, process of Fossilization and compare the characteristics of extinct and extant plants

 CO3: Critically understand various types of Classifications and taxonomical aids for Identification of Angiosperms.

CO4: Analyze the morphology of the most common angiosperm plants of their local it islands recognize their families.

 CO5: Evaluate the Economic importance of Plants belonging to different families.

 CO6: Understand the basic components of Ecosystem, Food chains and ecological adaptations of Plants.

SESMESTER:III:PLANTANATOMY AND EMBRYOLOGY

CO1: Classify Meristems and understand the histological organization of tissues and tissue systems in plants Identify local timbers based on wood structure

CO2: Interpret various aspects of embryology in detail about micros progenies is and megaspore genesis CO3: Illustrate and interpret pollen morphology, seed structure, Endosperm types and Embryo types Understand Polyembryony and Apomixes

SEMESTER:IV:CELL BIOLOGY AND PLANT PHYSIOLOGY

CO3: Explain the organization of chromosomes and structure of genetic material and cell division.

 CO4: Comprehend the importance of water in plant life and mechanisms for transport of water and solutes in plants

SEMESTER:V:BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION:

CO1:The course provide the importance of biodiversity and they know about biodiversity different levels

CO2:Students get the knowledge about conservation of biodiversity and different tourist places in india

CO3:They get the knowledge about beverages preparation and which parts are used for the preparation of beverages.

CO4:They gain the information about how the biodiversity conserve through different organisations in India

CO5:They get information about medicinal uses,industrial uses,of diiferent types of plants.

SEMESTER:VI:PLANT TISSUE CULTURE AND BIOTECHNLOGY:

CO1:Past and present of plant cultures in vitro. Equipment of plant culture laboratory, media, sterility.

CO2:Totipotency and hormonal regulation of organogenesis in plants.

CO3:Types of plant cell and tissue cultures in vitro.
