Department of Botany with the encouragement of management  started a garden within the college premises . College has separate areas which were selected to grow various plants like vegetable, fruit , ornamental and medicinal plants .

 The students were grouped and  with the guidance of the garden committee the land is prepared, the seedlings acquired were planted . The students monitored time to time maintaining the selected area giving water on daily basis with the available resources.

Initially the department  along with the  students by  the encouragement of the management started the plantation work. Further  the garden is developed with the active involvement  of the students . A small area in the front yard of the college established as a permanent garden area with a fence consisting of medicinal , flower and fruit plants.

Students will be involved in, watering, labelling the plants, weeding etc which will enhance the knowledge of the students about the benefits and uses of the species maintained in the garden. The material from college garden could be utilised for further propagation.
