ADMISSION PROCEDURE IN TELANGANA TRIBAL WELFARE RESIDENTIAL DEGREE COLLEGE FOR WOMEN DEVARAKONDA

The students who have passed or appearing for Intermediate Second year are eligible to pursue Graduation. Students will get admission in the institution through TGUGCET.

TGUGCET:

Telangana Gurukulam Under Graduate Common Entrance Test (TGUGCET) is an entrance test for Degree 1st year admissions into all Telangana State welfare residential institutions.

Eligibility:

  •  Students who have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination including vocational courses are eligible to apply.
  • Students who are appearing for second year intermediate examinations to be held in March are also eligible
  • Students whose parent’s annual income is less than Rs. 1, 50,000/- (in case of rural areas) Rs. 2, 00,000/- (in case of urban areas) are eligible.

Exam Procedure:

TGUGCET will be conducted as per intermediate first & second year syllabus of General English &Optional subjects that the candidate pursued in Intermediate.

The students will be called for certificate verification on basis of ranks obtained in TGUGCET. The seats will be given as per seat matrix provided by TTWREIS, Gurukulam.

 

Spot admissions:

To benefit the students who have not applied or appeared for TGCUCET spot admissions will be conducted at institution as per instructions of Secretary, TTWREIS, and Gurukulam under supervision of Regional coordinator. The process of spot admission as follows:

  • Inviting applications for spot admissions.
  • Seats will be allotted on merit basis of intermediate marks.
  • 85% of seat reservation is  given to ST students and remaining are for SC,BC,OC,NCC,Sports etc
  • If ST students don't turn up / not filled, as per the revised seat matrix then Principal can allow a maximum of 05 BC & 04 SC admissions in a course where the total 34 seats of ST are not filled in that course.

DOST:

                  Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) is an online portal that facilitates the admission process for undergraduate courses in various colleges in Telangana.

    • The students who got allotted through TGUGCET will be confirmed in DOST portal by the institution.
    • Initially DOST ID will be created for the students using Intermediate data and Aadhar details.
    • The DOST committee will finish the admission process in DOST portal.
    • Student will have an opportunity to change the course through Intra sliding option.
    • If student is not willing to continue in the college, the seat will also be cancelled till the admission process is closed by DOST.
