About the Department:

The Department of Telugu was established since the inception of the Institution, in 2017. It meticulously strives to deliver education in the Telugu language at Undergraduate level in the prescribed syllabus by Palamuru University. The department endeavors the students to procure proficiency specifically in the required four skills- listening, speaking, reading, and writing and it also enables the students to think critically, communicate efficiently, and write professionally.

* Telugu is not just a language but a crucial part of the culture of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Telugu program at Palamuru University aims to develop students' proficiency in Telugu literature, grammar, and linguistic skills while fostering critical thinking and analytical abilities. Students will gain knowledge of classical and modern Telugu literature, enhance their communication skills, and explore the cultural and historical significance of the language. The course prepares graduates for careers in teaching, journalism, creative writing, and research, while also promoting the preservation and advancement of Telugu heritage. Additionally, it equips students with digital and media literacy, enabling them to apply their language skills in modern professional fields.

  • Competitive exams do not include Telugu language assessment.
  • The parents are crazy about English medium education.
  • Daily transaction forms in Telugu are diminishing.

  • For those who speak Telugu well, there are several options accessible.
  • Telugu is a culturally specific language that helps the next generation maintain our traditions, customs, festivals, and rituals.

Challenges:

  • lack of desire to continue studying Telugu at a higher level.
