Practice 1- E+ Club
- Title of the practice: E+ Club
- Objectives:
- To enhance the ability to speak fluently in English on a wide range of topics. To create opportunities in enhancing their taste in reading To equip them with a sense of appreciation of literacy.
- To increase the confidence of the students.
- To give them a platform where they can practice and communicate without any inhibitions.
- Context :
The English language is considered a global language. Globally, education is provided in the English language, due to which all variations of research-based education and projects are based on this language. So, in most countries, education will be delivered in English and students will speak and write their field of interest in English. English is the most helpful language globally, and its “universal language” status proves that fact. Hence, English helps students in various ways.
- Evidence Of Success:
Students have improved their vocabulary, language and communication skills. This resulted in active participation of students in activities related to English language very enthusiastically like elocution, anchoring for various programmes and quizzes, thereby improved their skills in English as well as Employability for their future.
5.Problems encountered and Resources Required :
Continuous supervision by faculty is needed in order to portray correct sentence formation and pronunciation.

Practice 2 - MIRROR PROJECT
- Title of the practice: MIRROR PROJECT
- Objectives:
- To Import Spoken and Listening Skills among the students.
- To eradicate the flaws in their speeches to a great extent.
- To enable students to gain fluency in speaking.
- To develop the self-confidence in their speaking abilities among the students.
- To make them able in speaking fluently and also help them to face interviews and other job opportunities in their future career path.
- The Context:
Mirror work is a practice designed to cultivate self-compassion, selfconfidence and it helps students to overcome their inner critic, learn to love themselves, and in essence, start believing them-selves to face any situation that comes their way.
The Mirrors are fixed on the walls of corridors for the convenience of students to practice in front of mirrors. Students practice self-introduction, JAM topics, student talk topic, E+ topics, News reading practice, Mock interview practice, Tongue Twisters practice, Poems, Songs. Role play dialogues, anchoring practice for various programmes etc.
- Evidence of Success :
- Strengthening the connection of students to themselves:
Mirror work helps students to see past the conditioning that creates insecurities and fears, makes them able to connect more deeply to their true self and improve.
- Boosting students’ self-esteem:
Being in front of the mirror can be a challenge, especially if students are dealing with low self-esteem. But as students learn to state positive affirmations in front of the mirror, students slowly but surely begin to believe them.
- Overcoming insecurities: As students continue to do mirror work, the confrontation that happens in front of the mirror can eventually h elp students break through negative self-talk.
