Community Outreach Club
The Social Cause Community Service Student Club is a student-led organization that aims to
promote social justice, equality, and community service. Through meaningful service projects, we provide students with opportunities to engage with their communities, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact.

ANNA FOUNDATION (OLD AGE HOME)

In order to inculcate a sense of empathy and compassion towards the elderly, TTWRDC (G) organized a visit to ‘ANNA FOUNDATION’ Old Age Home . Students final year engaged in an interesting session with the elderly people.
Report:
TTWRDC(G) khammam organized a social outreach programme to old age home ANNA FOUNDATION at srinivas nagar, khammam. Old age home is a nursing home intended for the elderly and helps seniors in the activities of daily living. Generally it is seen that seniors are socially isolated at home and temporary relief to them is such old age home, which can take care of them in their old age. ANNA FOUNDATION is one such old age home, which is running for the poor.
It is equipped with all basic facilities to run an old age home. It was founded by SRINIVAS RAO with a sense of concern towards society final year students raised the funds among the students and staff members of college of TTWRDC(G) and by the amount collected, the groceries required for the Ashram was purchased and donated.
The groceries included: 150 kg of Rice, 25 liters of cooking oil, 15 kg of Toor dal and other necessary items for Ashram.
OUTCOMES:
Following are the outcomes achieved with this outreach:
1. The Old age home was provided with grocery that would sustain the food requirement for
few days.
2. The senior citizens were engaged with different activities by our cultural team that
included sharing experience, singing, dancing etc.
3. Students learnt the art to plan, raise the funds and arrange the resources required for this
outreach event.
4. The students benefitted from the guidance received by senior citizens.
5. Students interacted with senior persons in old age home and were able to identify the
shortcomings in our society. It developed a sense of concern towards society in general
and elders in particular.

Freedom School at Khammam

Community outreach refers to efforts that connect an organization's ideas or practices to the public. Unlike marketing, which is focused on products or strategies that increase market share, outreach takes on an educational component that engages the community.
As the part of this program we visited Freedom School at Khammam
About Freadom School:
Telangana has world class educational institutions that provide quality education in a variety of disciplines and has opportunities in different sectors that one can enter after their education. Students after receiving quality education, are equipped with all the skills required to get into any field of their choice. Telangana has seen an exponential increase in the number of students from the state receiving admissions in numerous reputed institutions across the globe and various other international opportunities is indicative of the quality of education in Telangana.
Freedom school is a democratic school wherein all the stakeholders (from principal to attender) have the freedom to choose all activities of the school which run from dawn to dusk in a free and democratic environment. The main objective of freedom schools is to break all the conventional way of teaching and learning methods like structured classrooms, time bound class periods, exams, passive and rote learning, etc and provide a democratic space for the students to express their inherent potential in various walks of life. The Society runs 87 freedom schools. In Freedom Schools, students are encouraged to pose questions as questioning is the path to enlightenment. The primary focus is questions and discussion rather than memorization of facts and dates. The teachers are well trained to elicit the best from the students in terms of comprehension and their expression of their experiences.
Report:
TTWRDC(G) khammam organized a outreach programme to FREEDOM SCHOOL khammam.
Faculty and few college students visited school to explore innovation and creativity of learning, the main aim of visit is to teach the students how to learn things in creative manner .and to bring out there innovative thoughs out.
OUTCOMES:
School Students learned some use full things by our visit, students and staff of the school receiving and interaction was very good,
Our students also learned lot many things, as they had thought to their younger’s it was best experience to our students, they also interacted with school children.
