MESS & DINING

Food plays very important role in our life. Nutritious Food is most important for students, it builds their immunity, keeps them healthy in mind and body.

GURUKULAM gives at most priority to food and health of students .Mess manager will look after the food preparation, distribution of groceries, budget etc. A special diet chart is followed in our college which was designed by experts from NATIONAL INSTITUTION OF NUTRITION (NIN).All nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, fats & roughage are provided in adequate quantity. We also provide RO purified mineral water to all students.

TS MESS GURU is a software which is also known as ANNAPURNA  through which mess manager gives information  to GURUKULAM about  quantity of issued groceries, available quantity, amount spent, stock register, student attendance every day. It will be monitored by GURUKULAM.

We also invite suggestions from students about food quality and taste. Every month we will have a mess meeting in which principal, vice principal, mess manager, all house masters & student mess leader. Students and staff in presence of principal will discuss about the food quality, budget spent and changes in taste if any. Based on the discussions minute changes will be made by following Gurukulam norms.

Annapurna scheme

The scheme is under the Ministry of Rural development and Department of Food and Public Distribution allocates food grains as per the requirements . Gone are the days of the TGTWRDC  students sleeping with half stomach. The Tribal Welfare Residential students will be provided with sumptuous and nutritious food.

Per capita budget : 50/- 

Rice                          :500g

Milk                           :170ml

Boiled egg               :01(except on Wednesday &Sunday)

Curd                         :75ml

Ghee                        :75ml(per month)

Seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables, chicken, mutton, pulses, groundnuts, oil, sugar, salt, chilli powder, dryfruits and many more

Special sweets  like laddu,  payasam, gulab jamoon, bobbatlu will be provided to students on festivals .

The Menu chart of the food suppplied to the students of Gurukulam
