St/Sc Cell
History:
During the IX plan period, the University Grants Commission (UGC) prioritized support for downtrodden students and staff, directing all universities to establish SC/ST Cells. The SC/ST Cell was established at Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College Nagarkurnool in 2017. Since its inception, the Cell has been dedicated to the welfare of SC/ST students and staff, aligning its efforts with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (MHRD) and the Department of Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of Telangana.
Mission:
The mission of the cell is to foster an environment conducive to political, religious, social justice, economic democracy, and equality among all members of the SC/ST fraternity.
Vision:
The vision of the cell is to unite SC/ST students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and build the institute as a center of excellence for their own career advancement.
Objectives:
- Monitor guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (MHRD) and the Department of Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of Telangana.
- Provide special coaching for CUCET/ICET/CPGET for SC/ST students
Activities of the ST/SC Cell:
Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College Nagarkurnool conducts various activities to empower SC/ST students, including:
- Coaching classes for entry into service exams.
- Special coaching for CUCET/ICET/CPGET.
- Bank coaching classes.
- Employability classes.
- Coaching classes for TSPSC, TSLPRB, and UPSC examinations.
- Celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Dr. Babu Jagjeevan Ram's birthdays.
- Commemoration of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Day and Anniversary Day.
- Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Lectures and Anniversary Day.
- Shri Shri Shri Santh Sevalal Maharaj Memorial Lectures.
- Observance of World Adivasi Day and Bharat Banjara Theej Mela Festival.
- Gurram Jasuva Memorial Lectures.
- "Swachcha Bharat" programs involving teachers, employees, and students.
